Am I A2C compliant? Do I still need a VAN contract? We have a homegrown MIS. How do we join the Implementation Forum? Do we need to switch to A2C for all Awarding Organisations at the same time? We export EDI files for analysis. Will we still be worldly-wise to do this? We use Awarding Organisations' extranet services. Will these still be available? We don't use an MIS for exam entries. Will A2C stupefy me? Why isn't Edexcel mentioned? What are the implications of GDPR for A2C? I once have the A2C Migration Application. Am I A2C compliant? The MigrationUsingtransmits EDI files over the new A2C transport. The A2C implementation will involve an upgrade to your MIS. Once you have an A2C uniform MIS the Migration Applicaton will no longer be used and can be decommissioned. For increasingly details on the A2C phases, please see How? Do I still need a VAN contract? The MigrationUsingreplaced the VANs for JCQ Awarding Organisations. If you were using the VAN contract only for JCQ AOs you can cancel your contract. We have a homegrown MIS. How do we join the Implementation Forum? Please email a2cenquiries@jcq.org.uk asking to be widow to the implementation forum and for an invite to the online user group meetings. You will need a Microsoft registered email address. There is a separate FAQ for homegrown centres. Do we need to switch to A2C for all Awarding Organisations at the same time? You will be worldly-wise to switch to A2C one Awarding Organisation at a time. However, it is recommended that you switch at the same time to reduce the legalistic undersong of managing both EDI and A2C orders. Your MIS supplier will provide guidance on the switchover.Increasinglydetail on the switchover can be found here. We export EDI files for analysis. Will we still be worldly-wise to do this? You will need to make sure that your MIS supplier is enlightened of your requirements and provides a suitable export of the data you need. We use Awarding Organisations' extranet services. Will these still be available? Yes, all JCQ secure AO extranet services will remain misogynist throughout the A2C transition period and beyond. AO extranet sites will be updated to reflect the new standards and processes currently stuff developed. We don't use an MIS for exam entries. Will A2C stupefy me? You will be worldly-wise to protract using AO extranet services. Why isn't Edexcel mentioned? Edexcel is not an Awarding Organisation, but a trademark name used by Pearson. Please see Pearson for information well-nigh Edexcel. What are the implications of GDPR for A2C? The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into gravity on 25 May 2018. A2C is a standard designed to facilitate data mart between centres and awarding organisations. It will start stuff used in January 2019. A2C does not itself store any data and therefore does not require a privacy notice. A2C messages are encrypted and the standard meets the requirements of the ICO (Information Commissioner's Office) for data in transit. The A2C MigrationUsing(which is currently used by centres to transmit EDI files) retains copies of files sent and received. The location of these files is specified in the Settings tab; the default is on the same computer as the application. Centres should consider these files for GDPR compliance. © JCQ CIC 2018 Privacy Policy Terms and Conditions Site by Doodle London
